Renovation of North Shore Country Day’s existing library – into a new interactive learning studio and library, deemed ‘The Heart’ of the school. Structural work was completed to create a new gathering space for students between the first and second floors, and the demolition and modernization of many of the school’s infrastructure systems improved the holistic health of the larger building itself.

The project was completed under significant schedule pressure, as it was initiated by a pipe that burst in early hours during extreme winter conditions in Chicago. A quick call-to-action, but a successful and meaningful project outcome.

“We work to teach our students to ‘go the extra mile.’ Your work has exemplified going the extra mile in so many ways.’ Your impact has been, and will be, truly far-reaching.”     – Tom Doar, Head of School
