A longstanding partner to North Shore Country Day, Valenti was selected for the renovation of the school’s 20,000-sf gymnasium, originally built in 1955. The project involved the reorganization of interior spaces to better support teaching and learning for students in grades JK-12. Additions to the existing building expanded pre-function areas, improved egress, and included the construction of the new Mac McCarty Gymnasium to the south. The renovation also included updates to the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with the rerouting and upgrading of various IT and life safety systems throughout the campus.

The renovated facilities now feature a state-of-the-art fitness center and training room for student athletes, as well as expanded spaces for socializing, studying, and community gatherings. These improvements will significantly enhance NSCD’s JK-12 physical fitness, wellness, and interscholastic athletic programs, benefiting every member of the community and reinforcing the importance of active, lifelong learning.
